Last month, while doing a book signing, I was asked, "What's your inspiration?"
I know it's a question that authors get a lot, but I really didn't have a good answer on the spot, so I gave a rather lame hemming and hawing about wanting to write stories that were in my head. Though partially true, still lame.
What I should have said is that other authors inspire me to write. I admire so many of them; their voice, their talent, their heart. I feel that I have a creativity that I've developed, just like them, and want to follow their footsteps. Whenever I read something great, I feel compelled to write something equally great.

Isn't that always true? Great creations inspire more creation.
I hope that someday my work will also inspire others.
