Brain Cogs

The little cogs in my brain are turning and turning as I sit in front of the computer on page 132* in my Word document. Twist!

Anyway, I saw these cute little twine mushrooms in a blog that I stalk (they would go perfectly in my craft room...but I swore not to buy any more craft items this year) and put aside the thought that they are so ridiculously cute and instead thought about how each string is twisted with one white fiber and one colored fiber.

Just like stories have their flat characters and round characters. One enhances the other.

And it makes a beautiful piece of decoration.

*I know what you're thinking...132 pages, ONLY?!!!! Yesterday, as I sat in the library, I was impressed with the number. Today, I'm determined to make this Labor Day weekend productive and up the count!
