I realize it's been over 2 months since I posted...and I feel bad. But! I can say that I have been productive, somewhat. Though I haven't worked on my book for a while, and I let NaNoWriMo pass without participating, and I watched WAY too much TV, I have good news.
1. I began teaching a writing class. I never thought I would teach, since I'm not qualified at all. But it's been a really good experience so far. I've taught 3 classes: on point-of-view and verb tense, on plot and theme, and on description. Next week, we'll be talking about dialogue. Fun stuff! It's been fun going back to the basics and relearning literary terms and all that jazz.
2. I read...a LOT. I've read so many books this past month: The Juvie Three (by Gordon Korman), The Hunger Games (by Suzanne Collins), Emily's Quest (by L.M. Montgomery), Quarter for a Kiss (by Mindy Starns Clark), Percy Jackson #2 and #3 (by Rick Riordan), and re-read Harry Potter #7 (by J.K. Rowling).
Reviews on some of the new books coming shortly. (It's a lot of YA, I know.)
and lastly,
3. I figured out a HUGE plot point for my sequel. YAY! I think I've gotten over the almost-impossible-to-achieve hump.
So, I'll be posting more often.
Happy Thanksgiving!
There is so much to be thankful for. :)
