TGIF & KBAQ 100 Most Wanted Classical Music

It's Friday. :)

So, I don't know if many of you know that I love classical music. I grew up playing it (on the piano), and we always had it on CD in the house. I even won competitions and awards playing classical music on the piano.  I did go through a spell in high school where I hated it and wanted to learn pop music pieces like my friends who were taking music lessons, but I came back.

My husband and I used to tune in to KBAQ's From the Top program every Sunday night, which highlighted talented young musicians (spanning 9 to 18yo). KBAQ is on my radio presets and I find myself going to it more than the other stations.

Yes, I'm kind of a nerd.

Anyway, all this goes to say that KBAQ is having their annual Most Wanted Classical Music voting period. And they will air the classical pieces in October.

So, click on over and vote!

What did I vote for? I wrote in mine: The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky.
(I know it was popularized by Disney's Fantasia 2000, but it gives me chills *every* time.)
