What I Learned in Europe - Book Research - Part 5

Part of the reason why I was super excited to vacation to Europe was because I wanted to do research for my sequel...how old architecture looks in person and how the atmosphere of an old city feels. So, I wanted to start a series of posts about what I learned in Europe, concentrating on setting.

Weather totally affects your mood.

Paris was HOT and HUMID. Bad combination.

Of course, we were still giddy to be at the Eiffel Tower that we took this silly picture.

What sparked my interest: a place so famous can be intoxicating and yet regular at the same time. How many other towers are there in the world? Several. But the Eiffel is famous because of its romanticism.

The challenge: conveying juxtaposition. It's just difficult of atmosphere!
