Today marks the beginning of the New Year for Asian countries, who go by a lunar calendar. Happy Chinese New Year! Or Kung Xi Fa Cai! It is the year of the Rabbit (from the Chinese zodiac).

What does Year of the Rabbit mean? According to legends, it means we welcome a peaceful and quiet year of rest after all of the battles of last year (the year of the Tiger). We will make compromises without difficulty and will be wise about our actions (using persuasion rather than brute force). Our lifestyles will become relaxed and leisurely, as we allow ourselves some luxuries we didn't have last year. This will be a mild year, moseying along unhurriedly.
