Welcome to Grammar Lesson Monday!
This continuous series will address many common grammar mistakes made in the media and that I've seen more than once. I strive to make the world a better place with good grammar.
Today, we will learn the difference between "affect" and "effect."
"Affect" is a verb.
Her mistake affects me directly. Now I have to make changes in our presentation.
"Effect" is a noun.
The effect of her mistake causes me to make changes in our presentation.
That's it for today. Celebrate good grammar!
